The Songhai Students Association (SSA) was founded on June 10, 2024, by four university students and one graduate student, primarily from University of Ghana. Initially established for university students, SSA later opened its membership to all Songhai students across Ghana and worldwide. To encourage education within our communities, particularly addressing low literacy rates among the girl child, and to unite Songhai students from all institutions and regions.

Educational Trips
We arrange educational trips to key Songhai-populated areas, including Kasoa, Central Region, Kaneshi Zabarma line, Accra, Sawaba, Aberim, Kumasi, Takoradi, Cape Coast, among others.
Tribal Justice & Advocacy
SSA stands ready to respond to any attacks or discrimination against our tribe by organizing press conferences and demanding justice within legal frameworks.
